Evaluating Manuscripts and Editing at Different Levels
Guest: NAIWE’s Executive Director April Michelle Davis
Editors are often challenged to work on multiple projects simultaneously while editing at different levels, some manuscripts requiring a developmental edit, some requiring a heavy copyedit, and others requiring a light copyedit. In this 90-minute webinar, April Michelle Davis will discuss the differences between the various levels of editing and how to easily transition between them when working on more than one project in a single day.
Here’s what you can expect to learn in this class:
An editing process to assist with keeping track of where you are in each project, which includes how to work with the client
Tasks for each level of edit
A suggested checklist to use throughout an entire project
Necessary resources to use while editing
Duration: 1 hour, 31 minutes
